Twisting the corners of folk, blues and jazz into immediately personal
songs, Jenn Adams is internationally recognized for her distinctive sound
and well-crafted songwriting. With an extensive wealth of experience and
craft, her songs scale a diverse foundation that refuses to blend into the
ordinary. Sparsely decorated, bluesy ballads are her trademark but by no
means a limitation. Known for her warm and inclusive live performances, she
is widely regarded as one of the most genuine artists on the acoustic
circuit. Jenn is based in Hamilton, MT and will be joined by Missoula
violinist Beth Youngblood.

Beth Youngblood grew up in a hymn singing family and though she's strayed a
long way from the religious doctrine of her childhood, harmonizing with
other musicians both vocally and on violin continues to feed her soul in
countless ways. She spent most of her 20s traveling and concertizing
nationally and internationally with the Howard Hanger Jazz Fantasy based
out of Asheville, NC., moving to Missoula in 1991 to acquire a full private
Suzuki violin teaching studio. Since arriving in Missoula she has played
and recorded with many beloved Missoula and Montana projects and musicians:
The Stories Project, Mandir, John Floridis, Jenn Adams, Bill Mize and Judy
Fjell, and performed and collaborated with Beth Bramhall and Janet Haarvig
in the acoustic art trio Ouzel.

“Playing with the amazing Jenn is always a rich, warm, and just plain fun
time. We have such a lovely connection--both as friends and musicians,”
said Beth Youngblood. “Jenn's profoundly skillful songwriting and playing
touch me deeply. I remember hearing her play at a benefit years ago and
thinking ‘I want to play on that tune!’ and then the next tune, and the
next, so I'm very honored to collaborate again and to be invited to be a
part of her set!”

Duende Libre is an inspired new power trio featuring longtime collaborators
Alex Chadsey (piano/keyboards/compositions), Farko Dosumov (electric bass)
and Jeff “Bongo” Busch (drums & percussion). Duende Libre utilizes the
American jazz tradition as a point of departure for daring explorations of
rhythm & influences from the Americas, Europe and Africa yielding catchy
melodies, lush harmonies, and wholehearted groove.

Bursting onto the Seattle scene in February 2016, Duende Libre has quickly
earned a reputation for being innovative, uplifting and accessible to a
wide-range of listeners. Their self-titled debut album was released May 5,
2017.

This performance will take place in the beautiful Salvation Army Chapel
right next to the Good Food Store. It is a modern chapel with great
acoustics, a baby grand piano and comfortable seating. The Good Food Store
will be providing light appetizers.
