Hi Friends,
Please take a moment to read the Idaho proposal to increase trap set-back
distances from trails. It's a step in the right direction. The proposals
can be read here:
https://idfg.idaho.gov/press/hunting-trapping-licensing-and-other-proposed-rules-comment-until-oct-24
You can send a comment by OCT. 24 to Cory Mosby reinforcing it:
furbearer at idfg.idaho.gov.
Andrea Santarsiere, lawyer for Center for Biological Diversity, alerted
Footloose to this small but important progress in Idaho. Idaho's governor
Butch Otter just received an award from the National Trappers Association,
so this is suprisingly good progress.
Please share far and wide. Although the State is likely to consider Idaho
residents’ comments more heavily, I would think this impacts anyone who
ever plans to use public lands in Idaho, especially with their pets or kids.
